what can i ask ari
What can Ari, the coach in Physiqo, do?
The lot, and the limits.
Ari is the AI coach inside Physiqo, a UK-built iPhone app for workouts, food and progress. Tell her in your own words, the way you'd text a mate. Here's what she can do, and where she stops.
What she can do
Say these in your own words. Logging, plans and your own numbers work on your phone alone. Anything she has to think through needs a connection.
Food
Log meals, scan barcodes, check your macros
log 3 eggs and toast for breakfast
drank 500ml
swap the rice for chips
calories in a banana
what should i eat?
had a katsu bento from wasabi
What she does
- Logs what you ate by name and amount, for any meal, today or on another day
- Logs water by the glass, bottle or ml
- Swaps, changes or removes a food you logged, or logs the same again
- Tells you the calories and macros in any food
- Tells you what you have left today, and your protein this week
- Suggests what to eat next, and shows today's meal plan
- Logs a packaged food from its barcode (tap the camera button). The camera has four modes: Scan food, Barcode, Progress pics and Screenshot
- Reads a screenshot of another app's food diary, logged after you confirm
- Works out foods the phone doesn't know yet from how you describe them
- Scan food: reads a photo of your plate, each food and its weight, for you to check. Each one counts as one of your photos
Make a meal and your nutrients
create this as a meal, call it my chicken bowl
What she does
- Make a meal or a recipe from foods, a photo or a screenshot: tick what is in it, set the servings, then save it to My meals or save it and log it. A recipe saved from a photo doesn't use one of your coaching answers
- Shows your food log at a glance: your daily average against your target, the days you hit it, and what Ari spots in your week
- Tells you your sugar, saturated fat and salt for a day or a week against your daily limits, and which foods had the most
Training
Log sets and cardio, build and change your plan
Lifting
overhead press 50kg x 6
plank 60 seconds
that was 55 not 50
move legs to thursday
i only have 30 minutes
my knee hurts, swap squats for leg press this week
What she does
- Logs sets: weight and reps, several sets at once, bodyweight and timed holds
- Mid-workout, understands '50 x 6', 'same again' or 'next'
- Fixes or deletes a set
- Shows what's on today, with the weights to aim for
- Moves a session to another day this week
- Fits today's session into the time you have
- Swaps or drops exercises when something hurts or kit is missing, for this week or from now on
- Imports a training plan from up to 12 screenshots or a PDF: a draft with every session and each exercise matched, to start now or save for later. Imports don't use a coaching answer
- Reads a screenshot from another workout app into sets
Live workout
that workout took 70 minutes
What she does
- A live workout screen: sets done against today's plan, kg lifted against target, and how far ahead of last time you are
- A rest timer on every exercise, with +15s and Skip, and an alert if you leave the app while you rest
- Your rest and your workout clock on your lock screen, with the set you are on and what is next
- Drop sets: add one under the set you just did, each one prefilled a step lighter
- Supersets, a How to for every exercise, and adding, replacing or removing an exercise mid-workout
- Lets you tell her how long a workout took
Cardio
30 min bike
ran 5k in 26 minutes
parkrun 24:30
did a spin class
What she does
- Logs runs, rides, walks, swims and rows, with time and distance
- Logs classes like spin, yoga, pilates or HIIT
- Tells you your pace, and your cardio minutes this week
- Puts a run or a class in your plan, as a second session after your weights or on a free day
- Reads a cardio machine's screen from a photo
Plans
build me a legs plan, twice a week
build me a training plan
build a push day
give me a quick 30 min upper session
swap leg press for hack squat
swap dips for push ups in push a from now on
What she does
- Builds a plan in the chat: ask for one and she drafts it on a card, then you change, reorder or remove any lift and save each session
- Makes a quick one-off session that fits the time you have, with weights from your history, to start now or save
- Changes a draft in words: swap, remove, add or move a lift, or set the sets and reps
- Drafts a plan for your goal and kit, and changes it however you put it
- Changes a session in your plan, for this week or from now on
Meal Planner and shopping
Plan a week of meals, ask about it, shop for it
Meal Planner
plan my meals this week

swap tonight's dinner
what's for dinner tonight?
which meals have oats in?
What she does
- Plans a week of meals and opens the Meal Planner on it, built around your targets and diet. Fill the empty meals with Ari, and lock a meal you want to keep
- Saves what you want in the plan, like no fish or no cooking on weekdays, with Undo
- Swaps one meal for another that fits your diet, or logs a planned meal, with Undo
- Clears a week of meals once you confirm, with Undo
- Tells you what's for any meal on any day, this week or next
- Tells you which meals have an ingredient in, and when you're having it
Shopping list
what's on my shopping list?
add oat milk to my shopping list
how much chicken do i need?
take bananas off my shopping list
What she does
- Tells you what's on your list, what you still need to buy and how much of each
- Adds, removes or ticks off items when you say so, with Undo
My meals and products
What she does
- Keeps your own meals and recipes in My meals, and puts them in your plan
- Your products: pick the pack you buy for a food, and your plans, shopping list and logs use it
- Copies your last shopping list, and remembers where you usually shop
Progress and body
Weight, sleep, goals, photos and trends
Body
i weigh 81.9
waist 86 chest 104
i'll do measurements monthly
how's my weight trending?
start my weight trend fresh from tomorrow
does it connect to apple health?
What she does
- Logs your weight in kg or lb
- Logs waist, chest, hips, arms, thighs and neck
- Lets you choose how often she asks for measurements
- Shows your weight trend over the last two weeks
- Your trend weight: a line through your weigh-ins, so one heavy morning no longer moves the number, with how fast it is moving a week and where that leads in 30 days
- Start your weight trend fresh: count it from a new day. Older weigh-ins stay in your history and stop counting
- Connects to Apple Health, read only: your weight, steps, sleep and workouts come in by themselves, including what a watch or another app saves there
Sleep
slept 7h
went to bed at 11:15, woke at 7
how did i sleep this week?
set my sleep target to 8 hours
What she does
- Logs last night in hours, or with your bed and wake times

- Sets a sleep target for each night
Goals and targets
set protein to 200
set my steps target to 12k
i'm cutting to 80 kg by march

What she does
- Sets daily targets for calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre
- Sets a daily steps target
- Sets a goal: cut, bulk, maintain or recomp, with a weight and a date
- Gives you a brief each morning, and a review of your week on Sunday
- Balance my week, a setting you can switch on: go over on a day and the rest of that week's days quietly come down a little, never below your floor
Look things up
show today's session

What she does
- Lines up your first and latest progress photos

- Progress pics in the camera: front, side or back, with an outline to line up in
Reminders and trips
Reminders, holidays and trips
Reminders
remind me to weigh in at 7
remind me friday to check my knee
stop the bedtime reminder
turn on nudges
What she does
- Sets a reminder when you say it, for one day or on repeat, and stops it again
- Changes your weigh-in, protein, bedtime and weekly review reminders from the chat
- Shows your own reminders on Reminders and nudges, where you tap a time to change it and swipe to delete
- Sends quiet nudges, off until you ask: at most one a day, never in quiet hours or while you're away
Holidays and trips
i'm on holiday in 2 weeks for 3 days
i'm away 12 to 14 oct

What Ari remembers, your history and notes
What she remembers

why has my bench stalled?
What she does
- Remembers things about you, forgets them again, and tells you what she remembers
- Keeps a long history you paste in, and text documents you add, as background
- Reads photos you add, and 1 PDF for her memory, once, such as a chat about your training from another AI app, saved as a PDF
- Offers to remember things you mention, for you to keep
- Answers questions from your data, her memory of you and your background

- Widgets for your Home Screen and your lock screen: today's plan and what's left to eat, and a tap to message her
- Tells you what she can do when you ask
so where does she stop
What she can't do
She'd rather say so than bluff. This is where she stops, and why.
Coach, not clinician
- Not a person, a doctor or a physio.Ari is an AI coach. She gives general training and food guidance.
- No medical advice. She won't diagnose an injury, treat it or talk about medication. If something hurts, see someone qualified.
- No crash diets, no drugs. She won't coach disordered eating, very low calories, steroids or other drugs. Worried about your health? Talk to your GP before starting any plan.
- Can't say a food is safe for an allergy. She reads food names, not labels. Check the label before you eat.
- Can't see your form. She can't judge your lifting from a photo or video. Tips in words are fine.
Where she stops
- Physiqo is iPhone only, and there isn't an Apple Watch app. What your watch saves in Apple Health can come in, read only. Steps come from Apple Health, or your iPhone's own motion sensor.
- Can't act for you out in the world. No calling or messaging anyone, ordering or buying, or setting alarms and timers. She can set a reminder in Physiqo.
- Stays on training, food and progress. No medical questions, mental health or anything outside the app.
- Another app's history doesn't become your history. You can add an export for her to read as background, but it isn't turned into logged workouts or meals.
Ground rules
- Her smart answers need a connection.Logging, plans and your own numbers work on your phone alone. Anything she has to think through needs an internet connection.
- Ari is part of Physiqo. You agree to it once, at sign-up. To answer you, she shares only what each answer needs with the AI tool that powers her: what you ask, your food, training and body numbers, and photos and files you choose to send. It's only used to write her replies. Never used for ads, never sold, never used to train AI. There's no off switch: to stop, delete your account or email help@physiqoai.com.
- Photos stay on your phone unless you back them up.Progress photo files stay on your phone unless you switch on the optional backup. Delete any of it whenever you choose.
- Adults only.Physiqo is for people 18 and over.
- iPhone only.Physiqo is an iPhone app. There's no Android version.
